Configuring Look & Feel

Look & Feel allow you to customise several features of the iCatcher Console user interface

Display

The heads up display will overlay information on the feed windows when the mouse if over the window.

Enable Head-up display will turn this option on, and you can set the Translucency level for the text that appears.

You also have the option to show a coloured border around any feed to indicate when there is motion.

Window translucency allows you to make the main Console Bar and the PTZ windows translucent, enabling you to use all the screen for video feed windows, and overlay the Console Bar whilst still seeing the image underneath.

The cycle between modes check box affects the behaviour of the information panel, when this is checked the panel cycles though its various modes of operation.

Increase window size when zooming allows you to change the default operation of the zoom buttons in playback.

Automatically view the analytic stream when video is shrunk allows Console to automatically switch to a smaller analytic stream when a multistream feed is shrunk to improve performance.

Auto arrange

The auto arrange feature attempts to automatically position the windows on your screen in a neat arrangement. These options control how this feature works.

Allocate space for Console Bar will take the space required by the Console bar into account when arranging the feed windows. This option will also take into account space required by the Logging window if it is displayed.

While most cameras use a standard landscape orientation, some cameras can be used in a "corridor mode" or a portrait orientation. When using auto arrange, the layouts will default to fitting standard orientation cameras, but each monitor can be individually changed to fit corridor mode cameras through the "Change monitor settings" button.
