  • Start monitoring automatically will start monitoring all the feeds when iCatcher itself starts up
  • Hide the Console bar after starting allows you to see just the video windows when the application starts up. This option is only available if you have Add icon to the system tray selected. The Console Bar can be restored by right clicking on the Console icon in the system tray and selecting Show Console Bar
  • Add an icon to the system tray adds an iCatcher Console icon to your system tray on the task bar near the clock
  • Check for updates causes iCatcher Console to query the iCatcher website to see if there is a newer version available
  • Use hardware rendering will try and use accelerated video rendering for H.264 feeds. You can turn this off if it causes problems with your graphics adapter but it will increase the load on the system.

Alert processing

Since iCatcher Console 6.0, the processing of alerts has been integrated with iCatcher Console rather then separately by an external process.

If you want to revert to using the original iCatcher Alert, make sure you untick "Use integrated alert processing" and restart iCatcher Console. Alerts will once again be created in the configured history folder for a separately managed iCatcher Alert to process.

Arming

This sections contains the settings for the alert arming.

The alerting can be armed automatically on start up in case of power failures.

The delay to wait before sending alerts can also be changed. This allows you to set the time needed to get out of the building, before it will start sending alerts, as well as the delay before alerts are sent when it's armed, allowing you time to get back in.
