 Night Vision
Many installations will require some form of night illumination. This is
best achieve using a modern infra-red illuminator. These utilise arrays of
long-life red LEDs. These LEDs give off a strong infra-red glow as a
side-effect. Visibly, these show as a dull red glow, but when used in
conjunction with infra-red sensitive cameras, the LEDs light up a large
area, immediately eliminating the need for bright visible light sources.
Some cameras have a built-in illuminator that runs from the same 12V
supply as the camera. This cuts down on the cable runs to the cameras, and
provides an economical night vision system.

night vision cameras, and illuminators to increase the illumination area.
A night vision camera has been installed in our office, and is available
for viewing live along with our other
cameras in and around our offices. We also have a web playback facility so
