Email Alerts allow you to
control how i-Catcher sends email, what triggers an email and what
the email contains in terms of text and attached images
Email Alerts Setup
To setup select Alerts from the i-Catcher control panel then in
the next dialog box select "Email" the function of each
control is described below:
Enable emails - Switches email alerts on/off
To - Enter Mail recipient. This box can
contain multiple addresses seperated by either either a comma (,) or
a semicolon (;).
Subject - Enter subject/title
Message - Enter the message body here.
This is sent as plain text, so no formatting will be done.
Use Microsoft Outlook - This
tells i-Catcher to use Microsoft Outlook to send any emails. This
does not include Outlook Express.
Direct to Server - This uses the
SMTP protocol to send emails. This does not require any existing
email software on your computer.
Server Address - This is the
hostname of the server to use for sending emails (e.g.
smtp.freeserve.co.uk).
Send Mail From - This is the name
that will be displayed in the "From" entry on the email.
Other Settings
Attach Last ... images - Specifies if, and how many
of the last images to attach to the email.
Attach Video Clip to email - Specifies whether
to attach a video of the motion.
Buffer time between emails - Set this value, so
you don't get a constant stream of emails if there is a lot of
motion.
Trigger on ... events in ... seconds -
Specifies how many motions in a particular time period will trigger
an email.
Test Email - This will send an email exactly as
if it was triggered by motion
