Alert Manager to i-Catcher Console
Connecting Alert Manager to i-Catcher Console is very simple. Click on
the "Settings" button in the main window of i-Catcher Alert. This
will bring up a dialog box that allows you to change all the settings
associated with i-Catcher Alert. Ensure the "Console" tab is
selected by clicking on it. On the Console tab is a field indicating a
trigger directory path. This should be set to the directory that i-Catcher
Console's capture history is stored in.
If the history directory is on a different computer to that which
i-Catcher Alert is running on, you will need to share the history directory
of your i-Catcher Console installation. A brief explanation of how to do
this is on the Sharing i-Catcher Directories
page.
When the history directory has been set, click on "OK" to
confirm the settings.
Once you have connected Alert Manager to i-Catcher Console in this
manner, the simplest way to use i-Catcher Alert is to just click on the
"Start" button in the main window.
