Thermal CCTV Cameras make use of infra-red light in the thermal wavelength to produce a video image. This light is completely invisible to the naked eye and to most IR-sensitive cameras, and is emitted by hot objects making them ideal for use in covert surveillance where standard infra-red can not be used. No illumination is required to use thermal CCTV cameras.
