The Axis 212 PTZ is a unique kind of PTZ camera, in that it features no moving parts. A very high resolution camera element is used to capture an image of a very wide area. The camera then presents a segment of this area at the given zoom level as a high quality image at the normal resolution.
This provides a PTZ unit in a much smaller space, without the problems of PTZ motors wearing out from constant use.
