The Axis 209MFD is a flat, compact network cameras with a dome-style camera mounting. Based on the Axis 209FD-R, which is intended for mount in public transportaiton vehicles such as buses and trains, the 209MFD camera incorporates technology to handle the changing vibration and light conditions found on such vehicles.

The camera casing is designed to adjust for adaptation to virtually any surface adding to the flexibility of this low-cost camera. The Axis 209MFD adds excellent image detail by incorporating a 1280x1024 megapixel camera element.

This camera is PoE only (i.e. there is no power input connection). To facilitate this, a single-port Power over Ethernet midspan is included.

The Standard Casing option below indicates the 209MFD model, the Vandal Resistant option indicates the 209MFD-R model.
