The Panasonic BB-HCM581 network camera is the successor to both the HCM381 and HCE481 cameras, and provides high quality high framerate images in both MotionJPEG and MPEG4 streams. Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability provides additional flexibility in connecting these cameras to a network. The powerful 21x optical zoom lens combined with the pan & tilt functionality make this a very powerful network camera.
Important: The power supply adaptor is only required if you do not use Power over Ethernet (PoE). PoE requires connection to a PoE enabled switch or PoE Midspan and delivers power to the camera via the network connection.
